The Family We Choose

Everywhere I look I still see inspiring things. Things I can’t control. Things I didn’t plan for; things that bring me to my knees.

People are counting on me to do the “right” thing.

Somehow, despite my meandering, happiness has found me. I doubt it will ever leave.

I spent time this week with dear friends. Artist friends. It is my belief we should all have these type of friends in our back pocket. The friends we run/walk/drive/fly to when the waters get too rough and we need someone to give us perspective – they act like a beacon, bridging our past selves, our current condition and our future aspirations.

I still trust that serendipity exists.  It’s more than just wishing for “good” things to happen.  I’ve found, if I’m consistent enough luck may just fall into my lap.
